Using video to communicate – where do I start?
So, the good news is you can re-open your business – yippee! Now it’s time to let your audience know: both your existing customers and potential customers that you’re open and ready.
Whether you’re using social media or would just like a video on your website home page to get your ‘welcome back’ message across, video is the best way to share what you need to say!
How do I get started?
First of all, let’s think about what you want to say and how you’re going to say it. Do you want to remind your customers of what you do, show examples of your work or even show what you’re doing to manage a safe environment with social distancing and cleaning measures etc.
We can work through existing messaging you have, or we can work together to craft something new. Our Producer Sarah is a copywriter and has a background in integrated marketing, so is ready to help!
Who will be watching the video?
Next, let’s have a think about where you want to video to be shown and who your audience is. Will it be across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, or perhaps just one of those platforms? Maybe you just want to upload it to YouTube or embed it into your website. We can advise what will work for your business and explain anything you need to know!
What will it look like?
Now let’s think about the visuals: would you like live action to showcase your business and services or would an animation work better for you? Perhaps live action footage with motion graphics (i.e. words, figures, diagrams etc.) overlaid will work best?
We can share with you plenty of examples of our work, or you can have a look around and see what other businesses are doing to inspire you. Our Creative Director Jamie has worked on thousands (literally) of videos and can advise on what would be the best course of action for you.
What will it sound like?
Let’s not forget the audio! Would a voiceover work well to describe the action, perhaps with subtitles or just key text to pick out the crucial points? Or maybe a music track is enough, with some sound effects.
We can manage all of this and will make sure the audio fits seamlessly into the video – sounding the best it can for your audience.
How do we start the ball rolling?
Let’s talk! We can work together to find a time and location for filming and prior to that, we can create a shot list, script and plan for your video to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. We love planning and organising shoots and video production, so let us take care of the hard work for you!
We can film on location and our camera operators are also fully insured drone pilots. Our editors have years of experience, as do our producers, meaning you get the best service from a highly experienced team at a competitive price.
We can make it as easy as possible to get your business out there, so get in touch and let’s chat…
